Intake Process

The first step in beginning either ISTDP or KAP is the intake assessment with Drs. Shackelford or Hovda. This process is known as a “trial therapy” and takes 2 hours. It is both a psychiatric diagnostic evaluation to make sure you don’t have an exclusionary condition as well as a psychological assessment. This helps with determining best treatment approach as well as elucidating potential barriers to therapeutic success.

Fee Schedule

Dr. Shackelford charges $250/hour regardless of intensive therapy or KAP*

Dr. Hovda charges $250/hour regardless of intensive therapy or KAP* **

Intensive Psychotherapy: usually either 50min (therapy hour) or 90min weekly sessions

KAP: Ketamine Sessions (2-3hours), $500-750

*Sliding fee considered on request

Insurance

Dr. Hovda is able to accept some Blue Cross and Cigna/Evernorth insurance plans. Otherwise, we are unable to accept insurance at this time. A superbill will be provided on request and you may submit this to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Late Cancellation Fee

If less than 24hours notice for any of our services the full amount of the session will be charged.
